At Kansas Pain Management, we understand the challenges knee pain can bring to your everyday life. To help you manage discomfort and improve mobility, we’ve compiled a list of simple, effective exercises.
These exercises are designed to strengthen your knees, improve flexibility, and reduce pain. Below, you’ll find detailed instructions to guide you through each exercise.
Quad Stretch
Stand with one hand on a wall for balance. Bend one knee and bring your foot towards your glutes. Hold your ankle and gently pull it closer to stretch your thigh. Hold for a few seconds, then switch legs.
Hamstring Stretch
Sit on the floor with one leg extended straight and the other bent. Reach towards your toes, keeping your back straight. Hold for a few seconds, then switch legs.
Heel Slide
Lie on your back with your legs extended. Slowly slide one heel towards your buttocks, bending your knee, then slide it back to the starting position. Repeat with the other leg.
Calf Raise
Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart. Slowly raise your heels off the ground, standing on your toes. Hold for a moment, then lower back down. Repeat for a gentle calf and knee stretch.
Leg Extensions
Sit on a chair with your feet flat on the floor. Slowly extend one leg out straight, holding it for a few seconds, then lower it back down. Repeat with the other leg
If you experience any discomfort while doing these exercises, it’s important to consult with a healthcare professional before continuing.
We are here to help you find long term solutions!
